The way I have been promoting blogging as a hobby amongst Chartered Accountants and Certified Public Accountant, I have been asked very often about the benefits of blogging or why should accountant ever BLOG.

To be precise and to the point my reply shall be as follows :-

1. A splendid and wonderful way of practicing your creative writing.
2. If you blog regularly, you end up reading the blogs of others which can update you on any new happening, news or event or idea which you might have otherwise missed out.
3. You keep yourself updated with the latest happening around you so that you can blog about it. The better informed you are and the more you know, the better and effectively you can blog.
4. It’s an effective way of letting clients know what you are thinking and how you think.
5. It’s a good refuge from the numbers for a while….isn’t it? It provides an alternative finger exercise to working out on a calculator.
6. Few of my friends (who have been blogging lately) have confessed that its therapeutic too as it helps them forget the complaining and whining of the clients.
7. It’s a great way to stand out in the web-crowd.
8. It provides a useful medium for expressing yourself.
9. Another good reason is that you can let other magazines, blogs, websites know that you have lot to say and they should consider publishing your work.
10. It is a great way to connect with younger clients.
11. It’s a good, healthy, creative and stimulating distraction from your work.

Haven’t I given enough of reasons to start blogging right away or you need more??
