First of all, wishing you all a very happy Diwali!
All of you must have enjoyed Diwali pretty well. If you guys had an opportunity to watch television in recent 3-4 days, a social awareness advertisement was flashed at regular intervals. Two brothers and sisters are sitting together enjoying the crackers. As they are blind, they are not aware of the colors of the light emerging from crackers. They are simply uttering out of their imagination – “pink, yellow, red…..” Suddenly, one the kids leave and the other one is not able to sense it as he is blind. He starts looking out for his sister and at last the message appears – Donate eyes to ensure that others (blind) can also enjoy Diwali. We should be thankful enough to the God that we are his privileged child and are blessed with all the happiness and glories of this world. At the same time, we are indebted to return to the society in the same way as we receive from it. There are no written rules for it, and we are not bound to do so but if we donate our eyes to one person in this world, it means the world to him/her. More importantly, what use are our eyes going to serve when we die? Absolutely nothing! I urge upon everyone to give a thought to it and make sure that each one of us pledge our eyes with eye bank which are easily reachable in every cities.
India is rising and growing at the fastest speed ever experienced. But the million dollar question which is troubling everyone is – Is this growth all inclusive and can we sustain the growth? Yes, to certain extent. I am strongly against the views that the growth India is witnessing is not at all inclusive. There are bottlenecks in the system but still it does not mean that rural India (Bharat) is completely neglected. There are issues which need serious attention and completely agree that the growth and success story which is music to our ears will soon turn into sad song if they are not addressed duly. Many initiatives and reforms are undertaken. The youth of India is excited too and nobody wants to let this chance go off their hands. Recently, I came by a website www.jaagoindia.org which is a great initiative by Tata Tea with the under mentioned mission –
To create an Awakening amongst the youth and empower them to work towards the Concept of Sarvodaya – Upliftment of All
Everybody is stretching out to meet timeliness, targets and KRA’s but do take sometime out of your busy schedule because we owe so much to our nation .It is our duty to contribute to its success and there can not be a better time than now.
Chak de India!
