Many domestic corporate & financial houses are queuing up to make an entry into the Private Equity (PE) space.
Companies such as future group & Religare have endorsed their fund commitments to get a share of the PE pie. Many other companies are also waiting for such announcements.
The sudden spurt in PE players is contributed by the exodus made by some earlier PE funds such as Warburg Pincus.
Kotak, IDFC, Reliance Capital and JM financial are following the international model.
