I surely dont think that the governments order to close down the shops by 7.30pm on normal working days is a practical proposition!Has the government thought that how will the working population of the city manage if this order comes to force??I dont think so!!ALso,do they realise that this will surely result in revenue loss of worth crores of rupees for apni Delli??!!??

Instead of passing such orders, all we need to do is generate more electricity..and one way to generate more electricity is to SAVE ELECTRICITY!

Where does the government goes when the street lights across our city are kept on through the day light? When so many people under their nose steal electricity across the city??When people working in government offices dont bother to switch off the fans and AC’s simply because they are not supposed to pay bills from their own pockets!

All of us need to take the charge and see that WE as responsible citizens of this city should not let even a single unit of electricity go waste..instead of letting government pass such irrational orders!
WHAT SAY…??

Shveta Mahajan.

Dear Fellow Bloggers,

This decision of the Government has been withdrawn on Saturday. Mr Haroon Yusuf confirmed the same saying that delhi would recieve more than 200 MW of electricity from Himachal Pradesh. For exact details, bloggers may read Hindustan Times for 7th May.

By the way, i liked the idea of closing the shops in afternoon to save power. Waise bhi us time dukaaandaar makkhi maar rahe hote hai.

I stand corrected!!!

In a meeting held at the CM’s residence it was felt that supply situation will improve with Himachal Pradesh agreeing to give 150 MW extra from Monday i.e., today. Hence there’s no need to take the drastic steps to deal with the power crisis in the city.

However following two restrictions still hold:
· No neon signboards to be illuminated between 7 pm & 11 pm
· All Delhi government offices to switch off ACs by 6.30 pm

Instead of emphasising only on one side why the other issue is neglected..

I wish to enquire what measures Delhi Govt. has taken to arrange more power for the capital.. We need a permanent solution to this power crisis..

And the best is to generate more electricity and to control distribution loss. This aspect needs most concern.

Also, theft of power is serious matter.. It has to looked into most seriouslly.. Such theft should be unbearable at any level.. I have seen whole factories running on power arranged thrugh theft..
