GOOD RESPONSE FROM CORPORATES FOR E-FILING OF INCOME TAX RETURNS
Delhi : E-filing of income tax returns has received a good response from the Corporates. As on 31st October 2005, the due date last year, the number of paper returns filed were 2,19,884. Compared with that as on 30th November 2006 (the due date this year), 3,11,585 returns have been filed (23,114 paper returns and 2,88,471 e-returns). This reflects a growth rate of 41.7%.
