I dont endorse the answers on mobility question. Mobility is not a small issue and saying yes, when actually u are unwilling to move can be embarassing.

For Instance, employer is hiring you to post you somewhere at his Branch or Plant office and once u r inducted into organisation u deny to move out!!! Hello.. wts goin on??

I believe getting a job is like marrying with your company and there should be no lies or half truths made use of.
These are my views, else every guy is changing 3 jobs in a year nowadays. So cant say if everyone will agree to my comment.

I agree with you Rahul. Incase you are asked to be posted in some other city and you are not comfortable with is then you should say no. But say if the interviewer is asking you that “Mr Rahul, you might be asked to travel for 4-5 days a month..would taht be okai with you?? or would you be comfortable with you?”

In such a case isnt Vrinda right?? Suppose you are being interviewed for a audit firm then such a question is very normal..”would be comfortable with outstation audits??” You can definitly say yes and you know later on you can manage….isnt it?

just 1 question:-
Why can’t an interviewee quote his love story as his personal challenging situation?…….i suppose thats one of the greatest challenges a Man has to face in his personal life.(Dealing with girls is not anybody’s job.:-)
Plz answer this.I really need an answer,…..seriously.

Few more interview questions …with some sugestive answers..but sorry ankit…i don have an answer to your query??

Tell me something about yourself?

Focus on relevant skills, experience, etc. Don’t ramble. Use your resume summary as a starting point.

What do you know about our company?

Do your homework before the interview! Take a look at the Internet for information or at the library researching the company. Gather as much information as possible – including products, history, size, financial status, reputation, image, management talent, people, and philosophy. You will want to be excited about the company and project that to the interviewer. Ask questions!

Why do you want to work for our company?

Emphasise the positive reasons why you want to join their company, but avoid aspects such as more money or shorter hours. These would not endear you to a prospective employer. Comprehensive research on the company will help you answer this question a lot better. Start by addressing their needs and how your abilities can benefit them:
o Solving problems
o How you can contribute to company goals
o What projects you would like to be a part of

Why should we hire you?

Again relate this answer back to your knowledge, experience, abilities and
skills. This is your chance to shine. Tell them about your achievements in your previous position(s) which are relevant to the new position you are applying for.

Why did you choose a career in……

Be positive about your reasons. If you have changed careers, make a logical
argument as to why you did so.

How long do you anticipate staying with our company?

As long as we both feel I’m contributing, achieving, growing.

Why are you leaving your current employer?

Never say anything negative about your past employer(s); stress what you are looking for, not what you are running away from. Give group answers if possible, “our” department was consolidated.

What are you looking for in a new job?

Make sure your answer fits in with the company that is interviewing you. A suitable reply would be that you are looking for a new job where you can apply your existing skills and learn new ones.

What would your ideal job be?

Again, remember where you are! Describe the job in terms of the criteria they have used to describe their job. An ideal job might include things like -challenging work, a fair pay scale, good colleagues, good career prospects, team spirit, opportunity to learn new skills, apply old skills, etc.

Where do you see yourself five years down the line?

Give long-range goals and state the goals that are job related. Discuss career goals, aspirations and how your current experience will get you there.

If I were to ask a co-worker about your strengths, what would he/she say about you?
Give three strengths and relate them back to the company and job you are applying to.

If I were to ask a co-worker about your weaknesses, what would he/she say about you?

Always turn a negative into a positive. Cite an example of a minor weakness and how you have overcome it or are currently working on it.

Can you work well under pressure and deadlines?

Yes, it’s a way of life in business. Be sure to cite examples of your success while working under pressure.

In your current or last position, what features did you like the most? Least?
Be honest but put a positive spin on your least favorite duties.

What did you do on a day-to-day basis?

Stress the positive things you did including your achievements. Even if some or much of it was paperwork, you can still show your interest in the way it was handled.

What has been your greatest achievement? And how did you achieve it?

You should state an achievement that is related to their needs.

What has been your biggest failure?

Try to narrate an incident where you think you were unsuccessful and how you were able to make it a success subsequently.

What motivates you?

Our suggestions are career growth, opportunity to learn new skills, good working environment, supportive co-workers etc.

What interests do you have outside work?

Your hobbies and interests can tell an employer a lot about you, including whether you are sociable or solitary, and whether you can take on ‘leadership’ roles. So, you should think about which interests will portray the right picture given the position you are discussing.
