hi madhur,
this is one really sincere effort to raise a social issue to all our co professionals. v usually dont admire the blood donation camps untill v had to face the shortage ourselves, only then one understands the importance of this life saving act.
I resolve to donate blood atleast twice a year, what about others?

A topic of great concern for all!!! It is an excellent job done; especially the provision of the URLs.It really incites the feeling of donating blood. It is high time that we should all think of doing this noble deed.

But I would like to actually correct the viewpoint given by Vrinda. It is a misconception, as low haemoglobin is a very individual thing and cannot be generalized for the whole female species. One cannot shirk his or her responsibility. Being responsible and equal citizens we should all do our bit, provided we are medically fit to do it!!!

Friends,

Its a service towards humanity that you should donate your blood. I am also a blood doner my self, but there are some isses which may be taken into consideration.

One should not waste his/her blood, as corruption is high every where. Instead of donating our blood to hospital we should donate directly to the person who require it.

Well, for all the women out there. I found it mighty difficult to donate, tried yesterday and failed coz of a low haemoglobin count.
They lady at the reception said women shouldn’t donate more than once a year coz our biological processes already account for a lot of it!

So it’s left to the male poplation to solve this problem.
