CAs on a brand building drive.

Chartered Accountants are on a brand building drive. As a part of the effort, The Institute of Chartered Accountants have allowed qualified Chartered Accountants to prefix ‘CA’ to the name in order to distinguish them from other professionals. This is intended to develop a certain image of the chartered accountant in the mind of the general public.

“The use of the term CA is a move towards prefessional recognition of our members. One recognises doctors through the letter DR before their name and there will be a similar thing for a CA. The use of such a prefix is already effective”, says Kamlesh Vikamsey, President, ICAI.

According to Mr Vikamsey, the central council of the institue has already passed this change and hence Chartered Accountants can implement it. So freinds, i guess this is a welcome gesture from the institute and we all should be glad about it.

I request all the fellow chartered accountants to post their comments on this movement of the Institute.

CA Vrinda Mathur..Hmnn …..i guess thats what the dream was all about. Its a wonderful step by ICAI giving an altogether new level of respect to this profession.

I wonder if MBA’s will follow suit???????

I heard few Lawyers cribbing bout it and saying when would they do it for other professions….so…did i hear people getting jealous…i guess few engineers do use ER before their names…This step by ICAI is a giant leap for the entire CA community and CAs will command more respect now on…..

it seems to be a good step for recognition of status of our profession in society but at this moment it seems quite odd to say or hear CA d.k.karnani or so.

the step is most welcome.. in beginning might look odd.. but it will give CAs a much better recognitoin in society..

I am very enthusiastic about adding the Prefix CA before my name. This is a welcome step taken by ICAI. When doctor can add the prefix Dr before their name why not Chartered Accountants. As our profession is most prestigious profession in commerce field. It will make us proud as give more respect. I once again welcome this step taken by ICAI.

Thinking of adding C.A before my name and by seeing in thanks list , it really makes me feel proud. Though i cannot use it right now, but i am very excited to have the honour of using it .and hope my this wish is fullfiled soon. thanks to ICAI .

This is a nice forum of my interest. I guess CA in India is similar to CPA of UK.

I am looking for few CPA who can conduct project analysis and sales audit. We are a management consultancy firm in UK. We never outsource to India.

Since I found the admin and other people are well qualified, our company can think of outsourcing services from India too.

This is indeed a welcome step;It would help further promote brand CA as an attractive career option.This also would bring in increased responsiblity,pressure and scrutiny of the public regarding our quality of work and the expectations of the clients/public would only further increase.Hope the remuneration/income would also show commensurate increase !!

Two new studies show why some people are more attractive for members of the opposite sex than others.

The University of Florida, Florida State University found that physically attractive people almost instantly attract the attention of the interlocutor, sobesednitsy with them, literally, it is difficult to make eye. This conclusion was reached by a series of psychological experiments, which were determined by the people who believe in sending the first seconds after the acquaintance. Here, a curious feature: single, unmarried experimental preferred to look at the guys, beauty opposite sex, and family, people most often by representatives of their sex.

The authors believe that this feature developed a behavior as a result of the evolution: a man trying to find a decent pair to acquire offspring. If this is resolved, he wondered potential rivals. Detailed information about this magazine will be published Journal of Personality and Social Psychology.

In turn, a joint study of the Rockefeller University, Rockefeller University and Duke University, Duke University in North Carolina revealed that women are perceived differently by men smell. During experiments studied the perception of women one of the ingredients of male pheromone-androstenona smell, which is contained in urine or sweat.

The results were startling: women are part of this repugnant odor, and the other part is very attractive, resembling the smell of vanilla, and the third group have not felt any smell. The authors argue that the reason is that the differences in the receptor responsible for the olfactory system, from different people are different.

It has long been proven that mammals (including human) odor is one way of attracting the attention of representatives of the opposite sex. A detailed article about the journal Nature will publish.
