Baxter is now on a hunt for companies in India for a possible acquisition. This move is not for the expansion of its portfolio as expected by industry experts. The company is dedicated to get a ready-made distribution sales force for its medication delivery to develop at a rapid pace in the health care market.
If an acquisition clicks here, this would be the second one by the 9.8-billion Baxter. The first one being the Wockhardt’s IV solutions bought five years ago that included the manufacturing assets and facilities in Waluj in Maharashtra & Alathur in Tamil Nadu. This acquisition proved to be a great support for the company’s required sales & marketing infrastructure that covered a wide spectrum of public & private hospitals across the country.
The company is now setting up haemo dialysis care centers in rented space in hospitals.
